We have
something going on here at Encore and would like to invite any and
all musicians and artists to become a part of it. We offer a stage
and a public address system free of charge here at Encore to any
group or entity wishing to promote the release of a new CD or like
project. We certainly understand the value of promotion and would
be more than happy to assist with advice and direction in promoting
any project. All you have to do is call the store and ask for Chuck
and we will be more than happy to consider your proposal.
Flyers:
Use either street teams or contract with a postering service like Motorblade
to spread flyers around town. It is particularly important to cover
the University of Texas area. Putting out flyers is not mandatory but
we consider it important and cheap.
Suggestion:
Use a combination of media. Print and radio can work well together.
If you cannot afford to purchase both print and radio, then buy print
and beg your way on to as many radio shows as a performer as possible.
Preferably on the day of the in-store. If you use radio, devote the
spot to your new CD and mention the event several times.
Rules:
All bands must perform. No liquids tossed or sprayed from or on stage.
No pyrotechnics.
PA:
We have a Mackie DFX12 twelve channel digital mixer with effects,
a QSC RMX 1450 two channel amplifier, 2 Yamaha monitors, 2 JBL speakers
and 3 microphones with one boom and 2 regular stands. Any other equipment
should be provided by the band or label.
